  • CUBO is the corporate museum of Unipol Group, established to share experiences through the language of culture.

We talk about the identity, cultural heritage and the history of Unipol, through the language of art and education towards new generations, always putting the central focus on people.

We do this by talking to adults as well as young people, promoting innovation through educational initiatives and experiences that show the impact of technology on important issues for the Group.

At CUBO, we collect, preserve and enhance the Group's artistic and historical heritage, with the goal of promoting knowledge of the past that generates awareness of the present and confidence in the future.

We support collaboration with institutions and first-rate local, national and international enterprises, to spread the company's values, fully aware that culture is the main tool for development, inclusion and social dialogue.

CUBO was created in Bologna in 2013 in the elevated plaza at Porta Europa, with an exhibition space, areas for events and meetings, gardens for open-air events, multi-media spaces for consulting the historical archive and for the simulations of training modules on road safety education.

CUBO opens its second site in Torre Unipol in Bologna in 2021, which includes an exhibition space, areas for events and meetings, a multi-media space with interactive multi-media stations which allow people to learn and enhance their awareness of risks in their daily lives.

CUBO opens its third site in Unipol Tower in Milan in 2025 with a multimedia and artistic space open to visitors and young people.

    Teaching and educational units

    • Teenagers and secondary schools: We carry out activities through workshops, intensive camps, educational modules and simulations on specific topics also carried out in streaming mode with a significant impact throughout the country, offering in-depth information and innovative content.
    • Adults, Undergraduates and professionals: We carry out classes and seminars on current topics, research and social relevance, promoting continuous updating and professional growth.
    • Proprietary Educational Classes: CUBO develops two educational programs dedicated to both young people and adults: one focused on prevention and road safety, the other on well-being and proper nutrition, promoting healthy and responsible lifestyles.

    Cultural events

    • Annual program: throughout the year through meetings with experts, talks, shows and concerts, creating opportunities for cultural learning and entertainment.

    • CUBO LIVE (places, ideas, voices, events) is the travelling series, in various Italian locations, of the live shows that we produce in the summer months, bringing culture closer to an ever-wider audience.

    • Non-Ballo da Sola (I don't dance alone) is the travelling series of meetings, shows, educational workshops and the 'panchine rosse' (red benches) project that CUBO creates in November on the occasion of International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

    • Thematic podcasts. We focus the attention to our thematic areas, from the history of insurance to current affairs and innovation, from interviews with curators and artists of experimental exhibitions to insights related to our artistic heritage. The podcast lines are art, current affairs, history, education.

    Temporary exhibitions

    • Artistic projects of contemporary art: we produce site-specific exhibition installations in the Art spaces of CUBO and in the sites of the Unipol Group, exploring the contaminations between different forms of contemporary art.

    • das (experimental artistic dialogues): We design and produce special artistic projects dedicated to contemporary languages, involving different generations of media artists and promoting innovation in the artistic panorama with a careful eye on the new generations.

    Historical Archive

    • Cataloguing and Digitisation: We manage the corporate documentation of the Unipol Group companies through a dedicated management software, Pergamo, defining the history of the group. We digitize all the historical material to make it accessible to the public in the museum spaces through touch tables and multimedia paths.

    • Special projects: We create thematic exhibitions, videos, podcasts and educational activities for schools, focusing on the history of insurance and the role of the archive as a custodian of historical memory.

    Artistic Heritage

    • Management of Works of Art: We catalogue and digitize the works of art of the Group's artistic heritage using a specific management software, Paguro, ensuring their care and monitoring of their state of conservation.

    • Enhancement and Acquisition: We promote the existing artistic heritage through loans, temporary exhibitions and publications. The artistic heritage of the Unipol Group, the result of various collecting events and mergers with other insurance companies, includes significant works that span over a century of Italian art.

    Measuring cultural impact

    • Monitoring and Evaluation: We carry out a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the CUBO audience, evaluating visitor satisfaction and the reputation of our initiatives. This allows us to generate value and continuously improve our cultural proposals.
