To mark the occasion of Bologna's patron saint's day, CUBO dedicates Discoverland to the city. It is a musical project by Pier Cortese and Roberto Angelini created in 2011 from the musical-friendly encounters of the two instrumentalists, producers and songwriters with several records and collaborations to their credit. The idea was to reinterpret Italian and international songs that have marked the history of music in an innovative way, in a mix of vocals, guitar, steel guitar and electronics with an unexpected texture and colour.
To mark the release of their third album, scheduled for 20 September, they have announced a launch tour that will reach all of Italy. For the first time, the duo will release a completely original concept album, accompanied by a series of concerts in theatres and clubs, with the extraordinary participation of Niccolò Fabi.
The project resulted in two records: "Discoverland" (2012) and "Drugstore" (2016), but after many concerts around Italy and a long break, the urge to explore new territory arose. This time, besides sound research, there is the need for an original narrative: a reflection that will culminate in the release of an all-new concept album in September 2024 and the subsequent tour with Niccolò Fabi, organised by La Fabbrica Live in collaboration with Magellano Concerti.
